ARE WE TAKING A "STAND FOR JESUS" OR OUR PERSONAL RIGHTS?

Taking a stand for JESUS is not the same thing as taking a stand for your PERSONAL RIGHTS.

While, voting for your rights or freedoms in a democracy is not a bad thing, especially where it upholds life, human biblical equality and creates opportunities for the gospel; we as believers should know the difference.

Taking a stand for JESUS looks more like Paul in the book of Galatians.

....STAY WITH ME HERE....

Some pharisaical types of Paul's day were trying to impose legalism and ritualism as a means of personal Holiness. "You are holy if you just get circumcised!" (for the guys)

Paul TOOK A STAND FOR JESUS by confronting the legalist of His day and giving us the famous verses in Gal 2:20-21 - This is what is told the legalist...

"I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. 21 I do not set aside the grace of God, for if righteousness could be gained through the law, Christ died for nothing!”

Thank you Lord for your Grace!

We should know what it means to "take a stand for Jesus" because, as believers our target audience is always the Harvest, or "the lost." Many Christians have made the Lord's Harvest their enemies.

If you have the name of Christ, you are always witnessing. What is my "witness?" would be a great question as we interact with the world around us.

Let's take a stand for JESUS and declare who He is in our words, actions and by the testimony of our broken lives surrendered and healed by the grace of Jesus!

You are loved, go love somebody!

Amen!
